Customer Service / Betting Operator overview

Betting Assistant’s sell bets to customers who approach them on the racecourse. Typically working on a static betting stand, Betting Assistants will also pay out winning tickets and handle cash. This role requires good customer service experience and good mental arithmetic.

You will receive travel payments to relevant courses which will be explained on first interview. We provide overnight accommodation for big festivals such as; Cheltenham and Aintree Grand National

Betting Courier (Mobile Sales Operator) 

Betting Couriers have a more hands-on and interactive role when selling bets to customers. They are traditionally placed within racecourse restaurants and hospitality boxes. Confidence to approach customers, the ability to be flexible and good mental arithmetic are all characteristics we would expect for this role.

You will receive travel payments to relevant courses which will be explained on first interview. We provide overnight accommodation for big festivals such as; Cheltenham and Aintree Grand National.

Recruitment process

  •  The recruitment team will be in touch to let you know if they are interested in progressing your application
  • If initially successful, the recruitment team will arrange a time to talk to you
  • A second interview may be required on the racecourse
  •  If successful at interview, training will be arranged for you
  •  If the training goes well, you’ll have a trainee title for your first 5 shifts
  • If 5 shifts are completed successfully, you will be issued with a casual workers agreement and will be fully fledged member of the britbet team!

In your training period (first 5 shifts) – we take into account how our company brand and values have been received by you.

Permanent roles

Field Engineer

The Field Engineer’s form part of a wider team whose key responsibilities include; the deployment of hardware systems across the UK, providing engineering cover to racecourse meetings and liaising with contractors, managers and racecourse partners.

System Admin overview

The System Admin will support all aspects of the britbet Network including; maintenance, development, monitoring, troubleshooting, deployment, refresh and analysis. You will Liaise with Network Engineers and Management to ensure betting systems are highly available and thoroughly tested.

  •  If initially successful, the recruitment team will arrange an interview with the relevant team to the role
  • A second interview will be conducted by the team you’re joining. This will usually be a face to face interview
  • If you are successful and a work offer is made, you will be issued a contract and starter information. The contract will include a probationary period of 3 months (role dependent).
